Why It Works

Four reasons this is
different from what you've tried.

01
Reduces Demodex mite population
Demodex folliculorum density is elevated up to 18× in blepharitis patients. HOCl at 0.02% disrupts Demodex colonisation without irritating periocular skin.
02
Clears bacterial blepharitis at the source
S. aureus and S. epidermidis are the primary bacterial drivers of anterior blepharitis. HOCl eliminates both without antibiotic resistance risk.
03
2.5× more volume than the leading brand
Avenova 20ml retails at $29.99. Lash + Lid Rescue gives you 50ml — 2.5× the product — for less. The same clinical mechanism; a fraction of the cost per ml.
04
Safe for daily periocular use
At 0.02%, HOCl is well within the clinically established safe range for use on closed eyelids. Safe for contact lens wearers, post-op patients, and sensitive eyes.
The Mechanism

Why your eyelids need
a different concentration

Periocular skin is the thinnest on the body. The eyelid margin sits millimetres from the ocular surface. The 0.02% concentration is the clinically established limit for daily periocular safety.

01
Antimicrobial at the lid margin
HOCl clears the bacterial and Demodex load on the eyelid margin — the zone where sebaceous glands open and biofilm forms. Targeting here breaks the blepharitis cycle.
02
Anti-inflammatory relief
By reducing the pathogen load, HOCl removes the inflammatory trigger. Lid swelling, crusting, and itching resolve without corticosteroids or long-term antibiotic use.
03
Meibomian gland support
Clearing the lid margin reduces the inflammatory obstruction of meibomian glands — the oil glands responsible for tear film stability. Many users report dry eye improvement.
Full Ingredient List

What's in it.
And why everything is there.

Hypochlorous Acid
Electrolysed Sodium Hypochlorite Solution (0.02%)
Formulated at 0.02% — the periocular-safe concentration established in clinical literature and used in ophthalmic-grade products. Identical mechanism to the body's own immune defence.
Purified Water
Aqua
Ultra-purified water. No minerals, chlorine, or contaminants that could compromise ocular safety or HOCl stability.
Sodium Chloride
Sodium Chloride
Pharmaceutical-grade salt that maintains the isotonic balance and pH range necessary for periocular safety and HOCl activity.
Application

How to
use it.

01
Remove contact lenses first
Always remove lenses before applying. Lenses can be replaced 3 minutes after application once the solution has dried.
02
Close eyes gently
Do not squeeze — lids should be relaxed and closed. Forced closure creates fine lines and can cause solution to enter the eye.
03
Spray 1–2 times from 4–6 inches
One to two sprays covers both eyelids fully. Aim slightly above the lid margin to ensure the solution reaches the lash base.
04
Allow to dry — do not rub
Let the solution air-dry naturally. Rubbing spreads the Demodex and bacterial load back across the lid and reduces contact time.
05
Repeat morning and evening
Twice daily use is recommended for active blepharitis. Once daily is appropriate for maintenance once symptoms resolve.
06
Replace contact lenses after 3 minutes
Wait the full 3 minutes. The solution is safe for ocular surfaces once dry, but the drying period matters.

"I have chronic blepharitis and have used Avenova for two years. I switched to Lash + Lid Rescue after seeing the size comparison. Same results, 2.5 times the product. I will never go back."

"My eye doctor recommended HOCl for Demodex blepharitis. At $29 for 50ml versus $30 for 20ml elsewhere, this was an easy decision. Works identically. The packaging is considerably nicer."

"I got Demodex blepharitis after lash extensions. I tried four different products before finding this. It is the only one that has actually reduced the symptoms. Five stars without any hesitation."
